Shamika Bains is a litigator with the Firm’s Northern California office located in Danville. Mrs. Bains’ practice focuses on a wide variety of civil litigation matters including cases involving product liability, catastrophic personal injury losses, wrongful death, premises liability, motor vehicle negligence, and intentional torts. She has also significant experience in cases involving breach of contract, toxic tort and all manner of wrongful death cases. Mrs. Bains actively participates and is responsible for every aspect of her civil litigation cases from initial claim analysis to conclusion.
Prior to coming to Norton & Melnik, Mrs. Bains was principally involved in toxic tort litigation involving environmental claims, asbestos, and product liability on behalf of numerous product manufacturers, suppliers and distributors. Mrs. Bains also has experience as a plaintiff’s attorney where she focused on product liability, personal injury, wrongful death and mass tort litigation.
Mrs. Bains received her undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in International Relations and her Juris Doctor from The University of West Los Angeles Law School. While in law school, Mrs. Bains was a member of Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity, and received the Witkin Award for Excellence in Civil Procedure.
